Arc Flash Designer

As our Arc Flash Designer, you will be a key player in conducting comprehensive arc flash hazard assessments like modeling power systems and calculating incident energy.

Your Impact:

• Conduct short-circuit analysis, breaker coordination, and arc-flash assessments using Easy Power software, in compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E standards
• Apply NEC and utility code requirements to electrical services, distribution switchgear, and panel boards; translate field data into one-line diagrams for accurate system modeling
• Visit project sites to gather system data essential for performing comprehensive studies and diagram development.
• Manage project documentation and support construction managers with file management, software use, and coordination to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Understand circuit-breaker curves and fuse characteristics, read 2D plans and shop drawings, and utilize AutoCAD or Revit; effectively translate verbal or written direction into detailed technical studies while maintaining professional communication.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Working knowledge of EasyPower is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SKM software is plus.
• Knowledge and experience of performing and/or observing electrical construction.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Engineer Degree, PE, is a plus but not required.
