Responsibilities

• Conduct documented jobsite safety inspections and communicate with project managers, field supervisors, and other employees regarding hazards, exposures & corrective actions required to maintain a safe jobsite.
• Attend various jobsite safety huddles to provide coaching and guidance as needed to the foreman and ensure that safety huddles are being conducted effectively. Counsel field supervisors and employees on safe work practices as needed.
• Interview field workers, fostering relationship and asking the right questions to identify safety risks, opportunities to improve, and assess safety competencies.
• Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during safety and quality activities, as well as corrective/preventative actions that are taken to assure continuous process improvement. Serve as liaison and representative of Guarantee, communicating safety issues to other craft leadership, superintendents and/or GC's.
• Support incident response, assisting with emergency protocol, investigations, root cause analysis and documentation. Conduct and document incident investigations and provide corrective actions as needed to prevent future occurrences.
• Develop and conduct jobsite training on safety techniques in the field and in the office. Assist with safety orientation/Reorientation of new employees.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• College graduate or equivalent experience
• 5+ years progressive experience in the AEC industry
• OSHA 30-hour certification
