Fleet Manager

As our Fleet Manager, you will be a key player in overseeing the acquisition, maintenance, scheduling, and safe operation of service vehicles-coordinating repairs, driver routes, compliance, and cost-control to ensure reliable, efficient fleet support for field operations.

Your Impact:

• Oversees all commercial vehicles and related assets, including their operations, conditions, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance. The Fleet Manager oversees and tracks GECO's "gray" fleet (auto allowance) vehicles. The Fleet Manager works closely with GECO Safety / Risk Management, Operations, and Finance to maximize safety and efficiency.
• Managing the company drivers by monitoring, correcting, and improving behaviors and operations.
• Accountable for reporting to leadership fleet performance, expense and issues that arise in fleet operations.
• Oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of each company-owned commercial vehicle.
• Build and maintain a fleet based on GECO's operations and budget, then supervise / track procurement.
• Administer the processing and maintenance of vehicle licenses and registration, including insurance.
• When a vehicle is no longer capable of serving its intended purpose, the fleet manager determines whether or not to rent, sell, reassign, or retire a vehicle.
• Ensure vehicles always run safely and efficiently, the fleet manager must monitor and direct the following activities:
  • Efficient asset utilization & Enterprise program management in coordination with GECO operations and finance
  • Vehicle inspection and maintenance, manage telematics system and annual MVR's
  • Vehicle performance monitoring, record keeping, and improvement
  • Track and manage fuel card / efficiency program

• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in fleet management in a leadership role, ideally within the AEC industry but not required.
