We offer great benefits with a competitive salary based on knowledge and experience. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Employees are also eligible for annual discretionary bonuses. Responsibilities

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, providing performance management guidance to leaders. Provides guidance and input on business unit workforce planning, succession, and talent development needs.
  • Support and administration of company benefit, retirement, and wellness programs. This includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), ESOP, and other similarly related plans. Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrollments, coordinating between employees, vendors, and broker. Assist employees regarding benefit claim issues and plan changes.
  • Provide support for full cycle recruitment activities including prescreening, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Collaborates with internal departments such as marketing, payroll, IT to ensure all employees needs are met.
  • Possess ability to challenge the status quo to express a differing point of view and to communicate at multiple levels.
  • Maintains compliance under the direction of the HR Manager and legal with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Supports processing and administering leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. With support from the HR Manager, the position effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Support or lead DEI or Wellness initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field required. Or equivalent experience in a related role.
  • 5+ years' experience in HR role with progressive experience.
  • Some travel required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • HR Certification strongly desired (i.e., PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathetic in nature
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently, balance workload, prioritize and work under tight deadlines
