People Team Business Partner
As our People Team Business Partner, you will be a key player in guiding business leaders in workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, talent development, and organizational culture to align our employee-owned workforce with company goals.
Your Impact:
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, support performance management, and advise leaders on workforce planning, succession, and talent development.
- Administer and coordinate benefits, retirement, and wellness programs (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), ESOP), ensuring accurate enrollments and assisting employees and vendors with benefits-related issues.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment: prescreen, interview, and help hire candidates, collaborating with hiring managers to identify required skills and competencies
- Ensure HR compliance: maintain adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.), review policies, manage leaves and disabilities, and support DEI and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments (marketing, payroll, IT), provide HR support and guidance, stay informed on HR trends and best practices, and perform additional HR duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field required. Or equivalent experience in a related role.
- 5+ years' experience in HR role with progressive experience.
- Some travel required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- HR Certification strongly desired (i.e., PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
- Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry is a plus
- Basic knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathetic in nature
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently, balance workload, prioritize and work under tight deadlines
