Human Resources Generalist Intern

At Guarantee Electrical Company, we love providing students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience through our internship program. We are currently seeking an HR Generalist intern to join our St. Louis, MO team and provide direct support to our HR department. As a Human Resources intern, you will perform various administrative tasks, support our HR department's daily activities, prepare for recruitment needs, and assist in planning employee focused events.

Responsibilities:

• Review and proof job descriptions as assigned.
• Organize interviews with shortlisted candidates.
• Will be required to research specific guidelines and regulations pertaining to employment law and compliance.
• Help develop recruitment materials such as job postings and track employment applications.
• Attend team meetings and other meetings that may be required from time to time.
• Prepare new employee onboarding packet materials.
• Assist with the processes of onboarding and offboarding employees.
• Assist with drafting offer and rejection emails.
• Assist HR staff with company events, training, and management meetings with set-up/take-down, room reservations, and food or refreshments.
• Paper and digital filing.
• Data entry and data integrity.

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• High level of organization.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Must work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
• Can speak effectively before employees of an organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Education:

Must be a current sophomore or higher year college student pursuing a degree in Business or related field.
