The base salary range is from $65,000 to $80,000 per year and is commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Employees are also eligible for annual discretionary bonuses.

*This position requires to be onsite a majority of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and guides leaders through employee relations issues, providing performance management guidance to leaders. Provides guidance and input on business unit workforce planning, succession, and talent development needs. Completes necessary documentation to provide leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Support and administration of company benefit, retirement, and wellness programs. This includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), ESOP, and other similarly related plans. Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrollments, coordinating between employees, vendors, and broker. Assist employees regarding benefit claim issues and plan changes.
  • Provide support for full cycle recruitment activities including prescreening, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Collaborates with internal departments such as marketing, payroll, IT to ensure all employees needs are met.
  • Work on assigned HR Special projects. Example: Updating job descriptions, policies, fact gathering, improving a HR process.
  • Maintains compliance under the direction of the HR Director and legal with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Support our DEI group and initiatives.
  • Supports processing and administering leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. With support from the HR Director, the position effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathetic in nature.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Additional Skills & Abilities:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field required. Or equivalent experience in a related role.
  • 3+ years' experience in HR role with progressive experience.
  • HR Certification a plus but not required (i.e., PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry is a plus.
