Innovation and IT Solutions Intern

At Guarantee Electrical Company, we love providing students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience. We are currently seeking Innovation and IT Solutions Internship to join our St. Louis, MO office to aid in a wide array of responsibilities by providing technical support assisting the help desk, deploying new software or hardware for employees and interacting with vendors.

Your Impact:

• Work as part of a small team to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to real-world IT and innovation challenges within the company.
• Assist in researching current trends and emerging technologies that could enhance the company's IT infrastructure or innovation capabilities.
• Help design and develop creative technology solutions, working with team members to address problems in business processes or systems.
• Gather, interpret, and analyze data to support the development of innovative solutions.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, proposed solutions, and implementation strategies.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing your technical skills and industry knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

Must be a current student pursuing a degree.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A strong interest in technology, innovation, and problem-solving.
• Basic understanding of IT systems, software development, and emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office Suite, Google Viewpoint, or any project management software is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Exposure to coding or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).
• Previous experience with innovation processes, IT consulting, or research projects is a plus.
