Project Manager Assistant
As our Project Manager Assistant, you will be a key player in providing vital support to project managers throughout the planning, execution, and closeout phases of electrical construction projects.
Your Impact:
- Support multiple project managers by assisting with various procedures and activities, coordinating and planning efforts to effectively complete paperwork associated with assigned projects while maintaining a smooth workflow.
- Assist with the preparation of subcontracts; track changes; prepare and maintain files, assist in issuing change orders and monitor status.
- Enter job number requisition, labor reporting data, and assign job numbers.
- Assist with submittal of permit applications and inspection requests.
- Coordinate shop drawing submittals, samples, cut sheets, Request for Information (RFI), Operation & Maintenance manuals, and as-builts; Create and print panel directories and wire labels. Obtain and print drawings as needed.
- Coordinate timesheets for billing; interface with company project managers and external customers to obtain information.
- Reconcile extra work authorizations with project change orders; Prepare special billing formats for invoicing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- High school graduate
- 2 + years business experience, construction industry experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Viewpoint experience a plus
- Able to work under pressure and prioritize between competing demands
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects for multiple managers with a short turn-around time
- Able to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
