Purchasing Manager

As our Purchasing Manager, you will be a key player in overseeing all procurement of materials and equipment, negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery to support the company's electrical construction projects.

Your Impact:

• Receive and evaluate quotes, work with vendors and select/recommend suppliers while considering price, delivery requirements, and past performance of vendor/supplier. Assess and rate vendors on service and pricing levels achieve the best pricing along with the best service.
• Negotiate pricing, supplier contracts and service level agreements with manufacturers, vendors, suppliers, and agents to ensure the highest quality products for lowest possible cost or best competitive price.
• Form close relationships with vendors and distributors to forecast future commodities and material needs, mitigate costs and ensure adequate supply. Work closely with estimating/preconstruction to secure the best prices on packages at time of bid.
• Manage the receipt of orders and daily purchasing for urgent field requests, supervising the renting and tracking of tools, vehicles, equipment and procurement of pricing of materials for project management.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure the company's procurement strategy aligns with operational direction and backlog.
• Coordinate fleet repairs, maintenance, and use of company vehicles for visiting employees.
• Coordinate required repairs and maintenance for tools, warehouse equipment, facilities systems and structure.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries and pickups utilizing warehouse vehicles and personnel or outside couriers.
• Work with accounting department to resolve issues on outstanding purchase invoices.

Who you are:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years' experience in purchasing field
