We offer great benefits with a competitive salary based on knowledge and experience. The range for this role is based off the CBA agreement with local 68 at Foreman to General Forman Scale. Foreman is $47.52 an hour and General Foreman is $51.84 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Quality & Production
- Advise field supervision of installation best practices; means, methods, materials, and tools that make installation more efficient and effective.
- Assist with development of general project plans and schedule, ensuring consistent means of production.
- Routinely research and stay abreast of latest innovations and standards in the industry.
- Encourage the use of prefabrication and process improvement efforts such as the adoption of new technology and tools.
- Support field supervision and project managers in the effective start-up, execution and closure of their projects.
- In coordination with the warehouse, ensure field supervisors have access to and are using the best tools, equipment and materials for the job site.
- Regularly visit job sites to perform quality inspections and ensure production standards are met.
- Provide leadership development and quality standards training to field employees.
- Workforce Labor Logistics and Planning
- In coordination with project managers, forecast future labor needs and plan accordingly to ensure they are met.
- Assign, place, and transfer field employees to ensure labor needs are met, talent is aligned with required skillset, and labor costs are managed in an efficient manner.
- Manage labor tracking software (LaborChart), ensuring assignments and employee profiles are accurate and up to date.
- Record and document completed training, certifications, safety qualifications and other personnel matters.
- Run various labor reports as needed to assist with forecasting and workforce strategy.
- Serve as a liaison to the Local IBEW Union Hall, maintaining good relations and protecting the best interest of employees and the company.
- Ensure compliance with the local collective bargaining agreement and enforce jurisdictional matters.
- Collaborate with the local NECA chapters, serving as a representative of the company, employees, and their interests.
- Work with IBEW's JATC to ensure adequate supply of future, qualified apprentices.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 10+ years progressive experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction
- 5+ years' experience as a supervisor and/or superintendent
- OSHA 30-hour certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expert knowledge of construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, codes and quality standards.
- Strong critical thinking and logic skills to conduct investigations and root cause analysis.
- Exceptional people management and development skills
- Emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication skills to build rapport and foster positive work relationships.
- Awareness of learning styles and training software to create effective training content.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to speak in public, presenting information to large groups
- Proficient computer skills with all basic office programs (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook) and the ability to learn and use related software and systems are required.
- Ability to identify safety risks or hazards on a jobsite.
- Knowledgeable of company and OSHA safety regulations and oversee the completion of company safety forms by the appropriate personnel.
- Proficient in OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other regulations
